Built by the circuit's strongest debaters.

Debate's rules, game-like structure and range of topics have to be taught by people who have won at it.

Pantheon Debate

How it runs

  • Sessions. Twice a week, 75 minutes of lectures, drills and case prep
  • Support. Students can message their coaches any time
  • Tournaments. Coaches travel with students and help them in-round

The program

  • Summer program. 4 to 9 weeks at 12 to 24 hours a week: mock debates, drills and guided practice before the season.
  • After-school program. 10 months at 2.5 hours a week, with tournaments online and in person.
  • Logistics handled. Membership, competition entries and event logistics, so the season runs smoothly.

Why debate

It asks students to challenge their own beliefs and see past the place they grew up.

Real-world relevance

A new resolution every month or two, from climate change to healthcare.

Both sides

Students argue for and against every issue, so they end up better informed and less dogmatic.

Controversy

Contested topics move students out of their comfort zones.

Any career

The logic of a round looks a lot like technical problem solving.

Pantheon Showcase

Students aged 16 and 17 can teach a concept they've learned in a short video. It's optional and unpaid, and a parent or guardian approves before any video is featured.

Its rules take competitive experience to teach. Debate has to be taught by debaters.

Extracurricular infrastructure for every school.
